Persian Influences

Sheki Foundation. Persian influences, built in 1762.
Detail from Dream House by Ghost of a Dream, 2009. Mirror reflection shows a reproduction of a church fresco which was actually restored using lottery funds.
These two images come from different articles in the same edition of World of Interiors, completely different times but clearly referencing of history by Brooklyn based duo: Ghost of a Dream who create these interior installations from discarded scratchcards. The more original image comes from the Sheki Foundation in present day Azerbaijan. Source: 24

I am also reminded of a visit to the Alcazar in Seville, Spain. Have some drawings from the visit that I will endeavor to upload.
